    Hey folks,

I am having an odd problem that I can’t seem to figure out. For whatever reason anytime I use either a style or script tag in a textarea the content is encoded. With the formatting set to “None” brackets are converted to either “#123” or “#125”. When formatting is set to “Xhtml” spaces are escaped as well to “nbsp”

Sorry, I couldn’t type out the full entity. It’s keeps being converted.

Any thoughts? I didn’t have this issue until I upgraded to 2.5.x

    Thanks!
    Isaac

    Hey iworktoomuch,

Thank you for posting your question.

I am unable to reproduce this. Are you using an rte text field or a plain text area?

    Are you on 2.5.3?

    Please let me know.

    Thank you,

Hi Shane, yes, 2.5.3. This happens with all textarea fields now. Attached you will find a typical set up and the resulting output.

    Thanks,
    Isaac
