    Hi,

Is there anyway to develop my site on my local machine while using EE? What’s the normal workflow for developing html sites?

    Thanks.

There are a variety of ways to approach it.  From folks who don’t have a development server at all, to those who have one server and use a subfolder for a dev site, to those who develop locally and sync with a live server.  (I develop locally using MAMP, test in sub folder on live server.)

And particularly if you’re more than a one woman team, version control is becoming more popular (exmple here or search for expression engine and version control- there’s a good bit of info.)

Short answer is- it really just depends on your needs your preferences.  I’ve come to really appreciate GIT once the guys got me using Tower.
