This question may be related to a resolved thread.
It looks like maybe these aren’t compatible from the previous thread? I have a site on 2.4 that I can’t upgrade to 2.5.3 yet. I tried to install MSM 2.1.4 and I’m getting the same error described in the thread above. It looks like you resolved the issue in private messages - could I get the same fix?

Hi, Lydia -
If you want to add MSM to EE, you must have EE on the latest version and the latest version of MSM. You can’t mix and match; the only solution is a fully up-to-date installation.

We can’t upgrade to 2.5.3 yet because of some add-on issues. My client has a hard deadline for the next site, and we need MSM because we need to share membership across the sites. It looks like there was a fix posted before in PMs?
I did find another site of ours that uses 2.4 with MSM 2.1.2, so I can just use those versions if that’s the best option?
