ok, I am really confused. I’ve been using mountee+sublime text for editing our templates and I’ve just noticed that on mountee templates are saved as .php extension. If I change that to .html (as I think I should, right?) EE tags are not parsed any more! Is this how it is supposed to work? When saving a template in the database it cannot have .html extension? If I change it to .html from mountee it shows up as static and not Web Page any more. (http://screencast.com/t/pTqscNp5) I’ve been reading that creating a template as WebPage should have .html extension, not .php…

Either I am really tired or have no idea what I am doing… Help?

    Hi diadyo,

I’m honestly not sure how Mountee sets up their environment, so I’d recommend asking them directly. The extension for ‘webpage’ type template files in EE should indeed be .html, but Mountee may have a different thing going on.

Let me know how they respond!

Hey diadyo, apologies for the delay.

We’ve mapped .php files to webpage templates and .html files to static templates. We decided to go this route when we started so that syntax modes would work correctly. You’ll see this detailed in our docs (http://hellomountee.com/docs/); maybe you’re looking at instructions for the build-in File Sync?

When you change the file extension, Mountee actually changes the template type directly in the database.

Hope that helps. Let me know if you’ve any further questions.

Thank you John. I somehow missed that part on the documentation. It’s clear now. Thanks.
