    Hi there,
I have a number of user groups and users setup in the back end of the site. Specifically Super Admin group and Author Group.

I want members in the ‘Author’ group to only see their own name in the Options > Author dropdown.

I want Super admins to have their own names along with everyone else to be displayed in this dropdown if logged in as a super admin.

Is there some sort of override for this? A plugin that can be used?

Currently all members and groups have ‘Include Members in PUBLISH page multi-author list?’ set to no, otherwise Authors will see everyone also

    I’m using EE 2.4.0

    Cheers.

    Hello PVC,

Thank you for asking your question!

Groups and member management in ExpressionEngine is a pretty basic beast. What you are asking is not possible but I agree with you, it would be nice if that were the case. I took a look through the User documentation, which is a great Add-on that gives you more control over users, but I do not see anything like that. It would not hurt to ask SolSpace about it. You never know, could be in there or it could be a feature request that they totally go for.

I would also file a Feature Request with us. I would love to see some more granularity and control with our member groups.

Is there anything else I can help with?

    Cheers!

    Hey

This is exactly what I’m after… PVC… did you find a way to do this?

If not, I’d like to +1 on the feature request.
