I have a legacy site which I’m updating. It’s in EE 1, since building it I’m more comfortable writing Addons.

Is there an equivelant to EE 2’s Entries API in EE 1?

I need to write a custom module that creates entries based on user action. I can manually do this via DB calls but it would be much quicker if EE could do the grunt work!

    Hello Elliot,

I did some poking around and I cannot find anything similar for 1.X.

This is the closest I could find.

Sorry about that. Is there anything else I can help with?

    Cheers,

Ha! I’m very familiar with the developer docs for EE 1 and 2. But thanks anyway.
I was hoping for some pointers without having to trawl through the source code of EE to find if there are any classes and methods I could use.
Looks like I’ll be rolling out my own SQL for this.

    Hey Elliot,

Sounds good. Probably your best bet at this point.

If you need anything else, please just let me know by opening a new thread.

    Cheers,
