I’ve just upgraded from 2.5.2 to 2.5.3 and I now get this error when creating or editing a field:

Unable to load the requested file: helpers/addon_helper.php

I’ve checked and the file isn’t in the CI or EE /helper/ folders.

So I checked the EE2.5.2 backup I had and it wasn’t in there neither?!

What’s going on? Why’s it requesting a file that doesn’t exist?

    Hi Shape.,

I’m honestly not sure what that file is referring to. I can’t find any reference to it in any of my versions of EE. Have you removed any add-ons from your installation? I’m thinking it might be from one of those…

All i’ve done is update add-ons, not removed them. I’ll go back through each old add-on and see if I can spot the file in there.

Magic. I had a module that I’d deleted but I hadn’t removed it first. Putting that back in and removing it sorted it.

At first, I thought it was requesting a EE help file.

    Thanks.

Whew! Good to hear you found the solution, Shape. Anything else I can help with?
