I have EE v2.3.1 - Build: date 20111017. In the control panel, in the edit channel entries list, if I click on the “view” link for an entry, it sends me to a link with the entry_id as the entry identifier. For one channel, this “live look” works great. For another channel, it does not work at all (I get a 404 page).

Unfortunately, I cannot send a link to my site, as it is our intranet and not accessible publicly.

Here is the channel entries tag for the one that works:

{exp:channel:entries channel="agency_updates" limit="3" paginate="both"}

Here is the one that is broken:

{exp:channel:entries channel="divisions" limit="1" status="open|closed"}

I figured out me problem. I had a check against anything other than a valid url_title. Turns out, EE is working as it should.
