Hi all,
I have had my site up for almost six months now (walkiees.co.uk), and it has been gaining more and more (user generated) entries. This is working OK at the moment, as all my dog walks (see the site) are split down by UK counties (via a category list in the right hand side) - see FInd a walk page
I am looking at enhancing the “find” option and allow users to search for locations via a text search box.
I would also like to add seperate dropdowns for each of the countries, so that the counties take up less space.
I know of Low search and Solspace Supersearch, but my question really is about the filtering of results.
Say for example a user selects the county “Hampshire” and they are then taken to a results page showing all 35 (at current) entries.
What i would like is for there to be an option for them to select a filtering option, to further refine the results. (think devot:ee)
As an example I have a checkboxes custom field where the walks features are selected (free parking, paid parking…) I would like the option for the user to select one of these from a menu (e.e free parking), and it then returns all walks in Hampshire that have the Free parking option.
Hope this makes sense?
Any ideas on how this is best implemented?
