These Days more and more Readers are going to comment your ExpressionEngine-Entries on your Facebook-Page and discuss it on Twitter — there Places you promote your posts with a Link to your Article — and do comment in your EE-System less and less. Sometimes these are great discussions on FB or Twitter, but you don’t have it in your EE-System and therefore your Readers wont see them on your Page… most of the time you then get two, three or more discussions about the same topic but with different protagonists on separate platforms…
I know there are services like DISQUS and others with a One-Way-Solution to this Problem. Disqus for example fetches the reactions on twitter and facebook and show them per article in their comment-service. It would be great if there was a solution for EE too, where you can import and display the reactions from twitter to your native comment-stream (or alternatively display them in a separate stream).
I’m not a programmer nor can I write PHP or MySQL — but I’m pretty sure this should be doable and I’m also pretty sure this would be a great addition to EEs native Comment-Module — and real killer-module you may even can sell.
So, heres my idea, for free — go develop it 😉
