    Hi Scott,

Hi all, I have a request from a client to integrate external info from an xml feed which will be displayed to specific members, based on their login.

The website is a company specialising in digital music distribution, whom look after 150+ accounts or so.

The idea is for each account to have a login and account page which details their info and account details, which would be entered via the standard EE channels, which is fine - in addition to this, I would be looking at including live sales data which is generated via an XML tool and is where I am struggling to find a solution to have this included within the pages output….below is what I have received from the guy who developed the XML tool.

“You will be able to add sales figures and associate them with the labels/releases/tracks in the db and there will be a REST service allowing you to retrieve that data (XML or JSON – you decide what you’d prefer), so that they can be shown to TLM labels through the EE system you are implementing.”

Based on the above, are there any known solutions that will enable me to do what Im trying to achieve and which would be the most suitable, XML or JSON and would it be possible to filter out the required info which is relevant to the account.

Any help would be most appreciated.

    Thanks
    Scott

The Feed parser addon - http://brandnewbox.co.uk/products/details/feed_parser could be used to grab the XML data, the you can use EE conditionals to filter results by any XML data field, if the feed contains some sort of unique ID for a user you should be able to use that.
