This question may be related to a resolved thread.
I just upgraded from 1.7 to 2.5.2
My edits and new posts aren’t showing up either. In “Options” I see that I no longer have the drop down menu for status. (It should be “closed” and “open”)
Over in Channel preferences: Statuses the option is there, and the default is set to open.
Why is it not in the publish form? Image of the AWOL status menu attached.

Hi Rezwan,
Since the larger problem you’re facing is due to a double-encoded upgrade, let’s work on that issue first. I have a feeling that once we get that taken care of, this one will no longer be a problem.
