    Hey 4georgy,

Thank you for posting your question here on the ExpressionEngine forums.

I would like to get a better idea of what you are trying to do. Why do you need to use PHP in the forums? Can you also tell me why you need to make a second connection to a database aside form the one that is already made by ExpressionEngine?

    Thank you,

I need help with sessions and cookies to send information to the database on the movement of the user.

    Thank you.

    Hey 4georgy,

Which are you using? Session or Cookies or both? Is this in the Control Panel?

I am still not clear on what you are trying to accomplish.

    Sorry!

    Hey Shane,

I use sessions and cookies in this case. I need to gather statistics about the users on the forum pages. The script works on gathering statistics forum (php format), but I can not keep this script in the open access passwords to the database. These data need to add an external file. Simply, if it fails, then the passwords for database users will see. An include solves this problem.

    Thank you.

    Hey 4georgy,

    Gotcha.

The forums use templates and in Global there is a global header file. You could just use a regular old php include to include your code. Does that work?

    Thank you,
