    Hi there

I’m having the widely reported M00o93H7pQ09L8X1t49cHY01Z5j4TT91fGfr issue on a site that I’m developing - it’s running on EE 1.7.2.

One of the templates is displaying M00o93H7pQ09L8X1t49cHY01Z5j4TT91fGfr where parsed data should be. I understand this is to do with the parsing order being out of whack… however the weird thing is, it occurs on one server but on another the template displays as normal. They are using the exact same fileset and exact same database.

Am I missing something obvious here?

    Cheers
    Matt

    Hi Matt,

Thanks for coming to the forums with your question!

Am I missing something obvious here?

I wouldn’t say obvious, but there may be a difference in the environments. Unless they are running on the same server under separate domains.

Same version of PHP/MySQL/Apache, etc. I would suggest a read through the Wiki article on Moving ExpressionEngine 1 to Another Server to make sure everything was accounted for when getting the site into the development server as well.

    hi dan

thanks for the reply. there’s certainly differences in the environments, but i’ve run many EE sites on the problematic environment in the past, so there’s no doubt it is EE compatible.

php version is definitely the same… mysql is 5.1 on both, both running on apache. have checked through the doc… php memory limit is at 128MB.

not sure what else to check…

OK, found the issue was with a depracated plugin. Removed that bit of code and bingo, the template now runs like a dream

Please consider this issue closed… and people, if you have a problem like this, try removing your blocks of code one by one to see if anything fixes it… could have saved me days if i’d looked at that first

    Cheers

    Hey Matt!

I’m glad to see you found the culprit!

    Solid advice there too, thanks!
