I, as well as my pre-launch test group, have noticed that the Javascript “back to previous page” links on error pages aren’t working most of the time.  About one-third of the time, they work as expected and actually load the page that is one page back in the browser history.  The rest of the time, they load seemingly random pages.

Are there known issues with these links, or browser compatibilities to watch out for? And most importantly, how can we fix this?

    Thanks,

    Matthew

    Hi Matthew,

What browser or browsers are being used to test this site? Are all the links that are meant to take you to the previous page using this?

    Java_Script:history.go(-1)

    (Without the underscore)

If they look like that and they’re not working, the first place I would look would be at the browser. Get me some more information on the environment in which you’re testing this, and we’ll go from there. If the “return to the previous page” links aren’t using the JS code above as the link, let me know what they are using.
