    Hi,

My question is similar to this thread. We want members to be able to sign up, pay for their membership and create their own mini sub site with the URL being a directory of the main site (i.e. http://www.maindomainname.com/membername). The sections will be home, about, announcements, photos and contacts.

It looks like Zoo Visitor will work for the mini sub sites and .(JavaScript must be enabled to view this email address), BrilliantRetail, or Store will work for accepting payment. Is that correct?

Is it possible to have one of the pages (announcements) be member’s-only? So, that member’s audience could create an account that will allow them access to that member’s announcements only? If so, any suggestions as to the best way to approach this?

    Thank you!

    Hi kasdesign,

Indeed, Visitor would be a great way to start! You could even use the included Simple Commerce module to handle the subscription. You would need one of the other e-commerce options if you need a gateway other than PayPal.

You could control this with a combo of member groups and relationships. One group for authors, one group for the audience. The an author’s audience members would be in related entries. If you used Pixel & Tonic’s Playa an audience member could connect to multiple authors.

    Cheers!
