I installed the scaffold theme for the discussion boards and set it up as the default here:
modules > discussion forum > forum board preferences > theme preference > Default Forum Theme

But when I am not logged in I see the theme as the blue theme.

I just want one discussion theme on the site and that should be the scaffold theme.  Also no one should have the option to choose a discussion theme from the front end of the site.

I looked at this post: http://ellislab.com/forums/viewthread/185288/

which looks like it should answer my question but it doesn’t.

OK I figured it out.  I had a folder called “default” in the discussion forum’s theme’s folder.  Once I renamed that folder - the default was selected appropriately.
