Comment moderation not functioning

    I have a default member group set up for new accounts with minimal privileges. Under the member group settings I have ‘Exclude member from comment moderation’ set to No. However, when I login to test and post comments they bypass comment moderation and are visible straight away.

    Any ideas?

    Hi BP,

    That’s a system-wide setting for members of that group when they try to post a comment on a channel that has comment moderation turned on. I suspect you don’t have comment moderation turned on in the channel in question here. To do so, go to Admin > Channel Administration > Channels. Under Comment Posting Preferences, be sure “Moderate Comments?” is set to Yes.

    Hi Kevin,

    Thanks for the info. Odd thing is I’m sure I checked this before posting here. Have just double checked and all channels are set to to Moderate Comments – Yes. And everything seems to be working fine now. I’ve just test posted in every channel and all comments have been sent for moderation. Really not sure what’s changed but the problem seems to be resolved.
