I started getting a server error a couple of weeks ago only when trying to upload some photos.

This is the error: “The website encountered an error while retrieving (our url). It may be down for maintenance or configured incorrectly.

HTTP Error 500 (Internal Server Error): An unexpected condition was encountered while the server was attempting to fulfill the request.”

It worked on Friday, but now I can no longer edit or publish any weblogs at all. I have access to the control panel, but not the pages.

Also, some of our pages are timing out on the public site.

We’re running EE 1.6.8

I am sorry to hear you are running into this problem.

500 server errors are going to write to the server logs. Are you able to check there?

If this is while uploading photos, have you double checked that the paths are correct and that the perms have not been changed?
