I get to the page that has a heading “ExpressionEngine Installation and Update Wizard” then when I click “Install Expression Engine” it goes to a blank page with no errors.

I am installing EE on a new VPS so I may not have configured something properly as it’s my first VPS configuration from scratch.

I have successfully installed EE before on pre built hosting environments.

    Any ideas?

Website is Ozindi.com and it doesn’t matter what you enter into the settings you still get a white page…

    Hello tabboy,

Did you get a chance to run the Server Wizard? Just to make sure everything is good?

Please try that and let me know.

    Cheers,

Ok I ran the wizard and put in all my details for the database then pressed the check my server button and I still get a blank page with a URL=> http://ozindi.com/ee_wizard/index.php?wizard=run

I’ve definitely missed something in my VPS configuration but what I don’t know..

My PHP version is PHP 5.3.3 and OS is CentOS 5.8 running Apache version 2.2.3

This is what I see in the logs

OK I have found the issue I was missing php-mysql from the VPS installation.

If you are missing this the server wizard doesn’t tell you.  I made a school boy error this seems but I have learnt alot building my own VPS 😊
