Hey all, I updated my EE software this weekend and everything “seemed” to be ok until I went to publish an article this morning. When I go to publish, the main fields display fine but I needed to go to options to select an author. Nothing happened when I clicked the tab. I clicked all the other tabs and again, nothing happened. I even tried to open the sidebar tools - nothing.

I cleared the EE cache but it’s still a no-go. I’ve also tried in different browsers (firefox, chrome on a mac) but that doesn’t work.

    Help? 😊

    Hi dirtydiva,

What version of EE did you upgrade from?

Not sure if you did this already but did you try clearing your browser cache?

Clearing cache did nothing. Updated from 2.2.1

Have you tried updating or checked for updates for most of the modules/addons you have installed?

Forum, Solspace Calendar, Solspace Tag, Forum, MX Stop Spammers and truncHTML are all up to date. NSM TinyMCE was up to date but I uninstalled it. I believe the rest are parts of EE

I checked out my console and saw this error:

Firefox: TypeError: EE.namespace is not a function
Chrome: Uncaught TypeError: Object #<Object> has no method ‘namespace’

no idea if that has anything to do with it.

I’m starting to think that one or more files got corrupted somewhere during your upload. Are you able to go back to EE 2.2.1 and try running the upgrade again? If not, try re-uploading the EE folder again and see if that fixes the issue. Please make sure you backup your DB, /config/config.php, and /config/database.php in case anything goes wrong.

I just replaced the javascript folder in themes and all is well. YEAH BABY!

    Thanks for your help, everyone.

I’m having the same issue after upgrading to 2.5.2

I’m showing a “EE.namespace is not a function” error in Firefox.

    Publish/Edit tabs don’t work and I cannot open/close visible/hidden custom fields.

I’ve tried uploading a fresh version of the 2.5.2 theme files, and also double-checked the themes/javascript directory, re-uploading that again as well.

    I’ve cleared my browser’s cache.

Still have this issue. Can anyone help? It’s urgent as I currently can’t edit or publish anything.

    Thanks.
