    Dear EE Staff,

On our website http://www.yourlume.com we are seeing lot of errors as below

Warning: Parameter 3 to Playa::modify_template() expected to be a reference, value given in /nfs/c07/h02/mnt/102563/domains/yourlume.com/html/admin/core/core.extensions.php on line 278

Warning: Parameter 3 to multi_relationship::modify_template() expected to be a reference, value given in /nfs/c07/h02/mnt/102563/domains/yourlume.com/html/admin/core/core.extensions.php on line 278

    Could you please guide?

We are on EE 1.6.8 and our hosting provider has PHP 5.3

    Appreciate your help on this.

    Regards,
    Guddu

    Hi, Guddu,

My first recommendation would be to ensure that you update to EE 1.7.3 and the latest EE 1 compatible version of Playa, which is a third-party add-on.

That should rule out any incompatibilities with PHP and let us move forward through the issue.

I did find this thread on the Pixel & Tonic forums about your specific error as well, and upgrading seems to be the fix there.

    Does that help?

    Hi, Guddu -

You could use the template search or, if you save templates as files, you could use a text editor tool to search for playa tags.  Other than that you would need to go through each template to find them.

    Dear Lisa,

Appreciate your help and guidance over the concerns that we have at the moment.

We were on EE 1.6.8 and after PHP Upgrade on our hosting server we started having this problem.

Our site was down due to this and we have had no sales for the last 4 Weeks.

To make the matter worse, the original developer who did the site is not responding and he was the one who has the Expression Engine License and only he can give us the upgraded EE Version (1.7.3) that we require without us having to pay the license fee again.

At this moment, the costs associated with upgrading the system as well as all the past and future investment doesn’t seem to paying off for the site and we had to take a hard decision to shut down the site despite a lot of time and energy that we spent into getting this running.

As a last resort and a last effort to revive our business, I would like to ask you if there is a way we could have the download of EE 1.7.3 without having to pay the license fee again?

This will go a long way in helping out our business.

You guys have been helpful all the while but in case you are not able to honor my request then I would understand.

Thanks and hope to have your guidance on this matter.

    Regards,
    Guddu
