Login Disappears, Guest Login is shown Instead - Unable to Login to https://secure.expressionengine.com

    Hi,


    I have this problem which persists despite attempts to get it through.

    To make my problem more clearer, let me give you the salient points.

    1. I have registered and can login. My userid: “kumaarpm”.

    2. The Login with my Name shows up on the Top Bar.

    3. However, when I navigate to this Hyperlink:” https://secure.expressionengine.com”, my Login ID (Hello, kumaarpm) disappears from the Top Bar and it is replaced by “Hello, Guest”.

    4. If I attempt to Login, it redirects to the Forum page and (Hello, kumaarpm) reappears.

    5. In short, I am not able to access the secure.expressionengine.com - and thus unable to place my order. I tried to change the Browser from FF to IE - still No Joy. Exactly the same problem persist. The re-direct when I tired to re-login never navigates back to the HTTPS page.

    What could I have done wrong - or is there a problem with the HTTPS website EE link?

    My OS is Windows 7 Professional.

    Pse assist - as I am stuck.

    PS: I am able to access Other HTTPS websites - just for your Info. The problem only persist for: “https://secure.expressionengine.com”.

    Did you lose the login information for the account that you purchased your license with? I can help you recover that if you email .(JavaScript must be enabled to view this email address) with your license number.

    Hi,

    I am not able to post in the Technical Support area as I do not have a Licence as yet.
    I was trying to purchase one (via secure.expressionengine.com)

    In the meanwhile, I also tried to get into the secure https://secure.expressionengine.com via the following modes - all failed!

    I tried to use MAC Laptop, tried Kubuntu (Linux), Windows Prof (32 Bit) and my Windows 7 (64 Bit) OSes.  Same problem highlighted in my earlier Post surfaced again and again. No variation despite switching OSes, Browsers, different computers/Laptops. Any Attempted Login to HTTPS secure.expressionenegine.com negates the member login and is replaced by Hello,Guest login. This then brings me back to Forum page and the cycle repeats itself to no end.

    Getting tired.

    By the way, just for info, I have no problem reaching other Secure shopping cart including https://secure.mojomotor.com/.

    I reckon I am not the only one facing this problem. If I am the only one - it is rather unfortunate.

    EE Tech/Dev folks should look into this - as it makes it difficult for a customer to buy this product - in case some other customer is facing similar problem like me.

    Thanks for your follow-up.

    I am from Singapore.

    Just to give you some update.  I have had contact from EllisLab Sales people.

    Apparently for some folks in Singapore, moving from non-SSL login to SSL mode (for HTTPS) creates some issues with regards to IP addresses. To be candid, I do not have the technical details (but I understand that the problem is probably IP related). I understand that EllisLab Dev/Tech Team is actively pursuing the matter.

    I hope that this would be resolved soon.

    In the meanwhile, I have offered to help out if the EE Dev/Tech experts want me to run some tests on my Computer systems.
