I am trying to do something very simple and want to know how best to structure it.

On the site I am building I want to display a single image on the home page and allow the client to update and change this.

This image is not a link.

So it doesn’t warrant a channel or entry.

How would you recommend I do this?

I have a licence for Channel Images.

    Any thoughts?

If I read it right, you just want a static line of code that the client can edit, like:

    path/to/image.jpg

What about a User Defined Global Variable?  They handle static info and can be edited easily in the CP.  Obviously the images would be uploaded via other means, such as FTP.

But if you want the client to upload the images in the EE CP, then I guess you’d have to create a channel so they can use a file upload field.

    Hey niallthompson,

What do you think of boldyellow’s idea?

    Cheers,
