    Hi.

I’ve updated from EE 1.6.7 to EE 2.5.2, after update getting an error:
    ———————————————————————————————————
    Error

Unable to load requested field type file:  ft.file_man.php.

Confirm the fieldtype file is located in the expressionengine/third_party/ directory
    ———————————————————————————————————
Can’t find this file neither in old version nor new one.
How this problem can be fixed?
    Thank you.

Same issue here, I know it has something to do with outdated extensions (nGen for example).

Doesn’t the upgrade auto change these field types to something generic? For example, we had field group using the field type of nGen File Field in 1.7.. after the upgrade the same field has a value of “checkbox”. If this is the case, why is it throwing an error?

I’m in the same boat, i’m stuck at this point:

Unable to load requested field type file:  ft.ftype_id_37.php.

    Hey SCR and dagga,

Since third-party field-types weren’t something available natively in EE 1, I suspect you each may have had FieldFrame installed on your EE 1 systems, right? Could you check on that? Investigate your previous installations to see if they included the files that EE 2 seems to be complaining about?
