Ever since upgrading from 1.X to 2.X I have never quite been able to get Moblog to work.  Since I had other more pressing issues, I just skipped over it and forgot about it.  When I got my handy dandy iPhone, I figured I’d just use the mobile templates.  Those were buggy and did not work *at all*.  Now that I have my iPad, I can just use the regular site well enough I can post entries on the go ... except for photos.

So back to Moblog I go to try to make it work.  The problem is, I keep getting these errors at the top of my site (where the check moblog tag is):

I also get the following errors when I try to “check moblog” from the control panel:

Clearly, I have goofed something up somewhere, but I don’t have a clue where to start in order to fix this.

Hi Liberty, sorry this is jamming you up.  What’s happening is a permissions error.  Let’s do a quick test- go to the file manager (in Content) and upload a file to the same file directory you have set for the moblog.  Does it upload ok from the manager?

Files upload with no issue from the file manager.

OK- one more question and if this doesn’t help, I may ask to go in for a closer look.  Are you using the full path in your upload preferences for the relevant file upload directory?  If not, make sure you are, as that might explain things.

TYVM!  My path was ../whatever/whatever so I changed it to /home/user/whatever/whatever and everything is up and working properly.  Many, many thanks.

WOOT!  Glad it was an easy fix, though I should have thought to ask that one in the first reply.
