    EE 1.7.1 build 20110520

    I have 2 weblogs, both of which have “Automatically turn URLs into links” set to off.

    There is a custom relationship field connecting entries from the two weblogs.

    Whenever I use this code, the output is made into an HTML link:

    {exp:weblog:entries weblog="AAAA" limit="1"}
        {reverse_related_entries weblog="BBBB" limit="1"}
            {plain_text_input_field_containing_a_url}
        {/reverse_related_entries}
    {/exp:weblog:entries}

    Did I encounter a proper bug, or am I missing the obvious somewhere?

    Hi Michael,

    It looks like that’s probably a bug in EE 1. As EE 1 is no longer in active development, however, I would recommend upgrading to EE 2 since this bug does not present itself in EE 2. (I just ran through a test myself to be sure this is the case.)

    The EE1->EE2 upgrade is planned, but the powers-that-be wanted a feature up before that, in the course of which I ran across this bug. I managed to work around it by surrounding the {plain_text_url_field} with the HTML Strip plugin.

    Ah- a smart workaround.  Glad you’ve got it working for now- and that Kevin confirms it should be good post 2.x upgrade.
