A couple of days ago I updated the entry API to support a REST service as well. As for now the entry API support REST, SOAP and XMLRPC.
Changelog for version 1.2
Added: REST support.
Added: Debug field for enable debugging.
Updated: A fresh new documentation for the services file is added.
Changed: The method names are changed for more CRUD purpose.
Changed: Response codes are more HTTP friendly.
Bug fix: lot of minor bugs fixes.
My schedule for now is to support more features in the API, like support Matrix and Playa field types, create/read/update/delete categories, create/read/update/delete members etc…
