Getting this error trying to upgrade:
Error: The following error was encountered
MySQL ERROR:
Error Number: 1060
Description: Duplicate column name ‘username’
Query: ALTER TABLE `exp_password_lockout` ADD `username` VARCHAR(50) NOT NULL AFTER `user_agent`
any advice? this is pretty urgent.

Strangely I am having this problem again.

Trying to upgrade from 1.6.8 to 1.7.3
I have checked and repaired the DB before the upgrade.

found the solution for me in my config.php I changed the app version from 168 bto 169 and the update went through
