I’m attempting to give a custom Human Resources group the ability to add members. The group is unlocked, “Can administrate members accounts” is set to “Yes”, and “Can access Members section” is set to “Yes”.

I can log in as my test user, choose “Register a New Member,” populate the form, and submit. The problem, however, is that submitting simply re-posts the form with no errors or alternate information – and the new member is not created and visible in the members list.

I can successfully create members as a Super Admin, and all permissions on member-related folders (avatars, etc.) are correct. I’ve experimented with various permissions (logging out + back in each time) to no avail.

Any idea why this might be happening?

    - EE 2.5.2
    - MSM 2.1.3
    - two custom Member Fields in use, both just text
    - about a billion add-ons, but none that hook into member stuff

Sigh. I found the answer immediately after I posted. Can some kind soul delete this thread?
