    Dear all,

I am just starting work on sorting out the hosting for our new corporate websites which are being built by a couple of external developers who will be using expression engine. We have opted to host the sites internally as we have spare public ip’s and some room on our vmware infrastrucutre.

Is buying the expression engine multisite add on the only way that this can be accomplished? are there are caveats to using this add on compared to having say more than one virtual server for the hosting (i.e. one instance of expression engine per server rather than one server with multiple sites on)

Also is there a preferred version of linux that you guys recommend? I was thinking of either using debian or Ubuntu?

    many thanks,

    Paul
