In order to upgrade mysql on cloud sites, I had to delete and restore the database. Now I get the error:Unable to Load Site Preferences; No Preferences Found
I’ve read lots of posts on this but haven’t found a solution.

It’s a EE 2.5.2 site, that is now down and I can’t get to the CP.
I updated the db host in the database.php file….

    Any suggestions on this…..please?
    Thanks
    Andy

Ok, I have resolved this problem and am coming to post the process that led to the solution.

I enabled debug in index.php and refreshed the page that should be the CP.
It indicated that it couldn’t connect to my database and that it was not found. So I downloaded the config file again and took a look…..it still had the old db host. I guess I uploaded my config file back up… it’s funny now, but an hour ago it was not. 😊

The point for me is that the debug setting, which I didn’t know about really helped.

    Hey Andy,

I am glad you found the dubug setting helpful. It’s a life saver! I just keep it enabled on all my site since only the admin can see the debug info.

If you need anything else, please just let me know by opening a new thread.

    Cheers,
