Hi there,

I’m doing some research on potentially using ExpressionEngine to pull accommodation listings from services like Late Rooms, Expedia or TripAdvisor and enabling users to search for accommodation and check availability.

I can see that LateRooms for example provides a CSV of hotels and then I could use something like the Importer module from Solspace to schedule imports, but we also want to give businesses the facility to edit their listing on our own site.

I was wondering if anyone else has used ExpressionEngine to integrate with any of these services or others to book hotel rooms?

Sounds interesting. You’ll probably need to get stuck into add-on development or using php in templates for that kind of project. If those sites have an API you can use the Rest add-on http://devot-ee.com/add-ons/rest to collect info about them.  I would imagine one challenge would be having a way to know if someone really is the owner of a particular business listed on those sites before they can edit it.
