    Hello,

    I just followed the instructions to update to the newest version of EE, http://ellislab.com/expressionengine/user-guide/installation/update.html

    As soon as the installation wizard completed, my index.php gave me this error:

    Parse error: syntax error, unexpected ‘[’ in /nfs/c05/h02/mnt/75262/domains/mioduski.net/html/index.php on line 117

    Line 117 in my index.php is within the Mandatory config overrides

    /*
    *——————————————————————————————————
    *  Mandatory config overrides
    *——————————————————————————————————
    */
    [‘subclass_prefix’] = ‘EE_’;

    I had already checked my permissions as specified by the installation user guide.

    Thank you!

    Mike

    Wow, so I looked back at my old index.php and tried adding “$assign_to_config” right in front of “[‘subclass_prefix’] = ‘EE_’;” and that did the trick— all set now!
