In the admin I’ve my member list, but I setup the username and screename as email, the first name and last name are custom fields.
But like this I can find a member only if I search by email.

Is it possible to search a member by the name? or any other custom field?

    Thanks
    Mirko

    Hello mirkob,

Thank you for posting your question here on the ExpressionEngine forums.

Are you using any Add-Ons in order to have email addresses as usernames?

Are you searching for members in Control Panel under Members?

    Please let me know.

    Thank you,

yes, I used the User module by Solspace.
And I figured out to do the search I want on the front end,
but I was wondering if there was the option to do in the control panel under members.

    Hey mirkob,

I do not believe that there is, at least from ExpressionEngine’s point of view.

If you want I can move this over to the Community Help Forum to see if there is something you can do (read core) to make this happen.

    Cheers,

    Hey there Triad,

The ExpressionEngine built in search module is pretty limited. You can search custom fields, but not custom user fields.

Have you taken a look at Super Search? That should do it!

    Cheers,
