I’m running a forums site with Vanilla Forums. It’s pretty sweet but I would like to move to Expression Engine Forums. However, there seems not to be an official way of doing that. Has anyone here done it before?

    Thanks

    Hey hungle,

Thank you for posting your question here on the ExpressionEngine forums.

Are you talking about documentation on switching from Vanilla Forums to ExpressionEngine forums?

I am not aware of any documentation, but the community may have some ideas. I can move this post over to Community Help Forum if you would like.

    Cheers,

My first recommendation would be don’t do it. Stay with Vanilla.

I’d agree. EE Forums are not a replacement for a dedicated, standalone forum software.

If you have an EE site, using the EE Forum Module is an easy way to add forum functionality, but while it’s a functioning add-on, it’s extremely feature limited and has been neglected for some time.
