    Hi,

I’m attempting an upgrade and keep hitting a “database too large” message.

I’m performing this on MAMP within our local dev environment. I updated the update.sh script with the recommendations here, http://ellislab.com/forums/viewthread/202094/

While running the file via terminal, I see that all database commands are performed correctly and I receive the final message about returning to the web page. However, when I return to the upgrade page and hit refresh, the page sits and times out, providing with the same message over and over.

Any thoughts on where to go from here?

    Thanks!

Thought I should also add that our DB file is rather large, clocking in at around 221MB

    Hi jtnick,

I am sorry for the problems you are running into with the Large Database Upgrade script.

However, when I return to the upgrade page and hit refresh, the page sits and times out, providing with the same message over and over.

    What message is being displayed?

Have you changed the root user password on your MAMP installation?

Rather than refresh the installer, what happens if you restart the installer? This is merely a troubleshooting suggestion *refreshing* is the proper course.

I look forward to your reply.

    Cheers,
