Hi -

Is there a setting to turn off the default creation of thumbnails for images uploaded to EE?

For the site I’m working on, none of the images need resizing - thumbnails are being cropped very specifically and uploaded manually, so there’s no need for the additional thumbnail generation.

I think what you’re referring to is EE creating thumbnails for the system to display on the back end, like when when a user browses a file upload directory. They’re not intended for the front end of your site.

Jonathan is right, this is default and built in. I am not aware of a way to disable that.
