Problem: I’m using the oh-so-handy DataGrab module to import a ton of entries. Unfortunately, the module does not appear to work with the Pages module at all.

Solution? I’m wondering if there’s another add-on that is capable of batch importing a group of entries into the Pages module?

I’ve looked around for a solution, but so far have come up empty handed.  Any ideas?

    Thank you.

    Follow-up question…

Can someone tell me specifically where/how entries tied to Pages inside the database?  I’ve been browsing through the database (via the Manage Database Tables feature) for the last 45 mins and I can’t find anyplace where the entries are tied to the pages_url or the pages_template.

Of course, I found exp_pages_configuration, but that clearly isn’t it.

Ok, I think I finally found it.  Looks like the Pages module settings are set for each entry in exp_entry_versioning

pages__pages_uri and pages__pages_template_id are both in there.

Now just to figure out how to mass insert/populate that data for a whole batch of recent entries…

    I’m open to ideas.

Mike Boyink has a series of free tutorials about the Pages module that helped me:

For me, Pages is simply a way to pull content out of a channel and display it at any URL that I create for it. So I believe DataGrab would just work in the usual way to import data into a channel.

    Hope that helps somewhat.

    Thank you for that, BoldYellow.

I am familiar with Boyink’s very helpful Pages guide.  It was part of the inspiration to use Pages so heavily on my site.

Unfortunately, DataGrab cannot currently import the pages_url or pages_template data.  I believe Andrew is working to integrate such functionality, but I’m not positive.

That’s why I’ve been fishing around to see if there is another option.

    Thanks again.
