Hello- I have a client who has been getting a white screen that says : Disallowed Key Characters. -

You can see the first page and maybe a second page but then, when you click on the link, you get that error and all the other pages.

I did install the most recent update to EE but I am still getting the error. This is the site: http://www.publishersroundtable.org

It happens on different browsers and seems to be happening for all users. I know some other people had this issue too but I thought it would be solved by doing the upgrade.

I did try going through the instructions in here: https://support.ellislab.com/bugs/detail/16909 but when I open my Input.php it doesn’t seem like that would be the right place to put that PHP code. I am a little nervous that something I could do could make the situation worse. That line 459 appears right in the middle of my ip_address function.

    Does anyone have any advice?

    Thanks!

    Hi Heather,

I am sorry for your frustration!

Since I can’t see anything with the site offline, let’s get in for a look, shall we?

Be on the lookout for an email from me.

    Cheers,

Hi Dan, Thanks for your reply. It was a bad cookie and I did end up getting a developer to help me so it seems to be fine now. Hopefully it won’t happen again because it was kind of a tough one to fix. I think we did something similar to what the bug fix above was.

    Hi again Dan,

Actually the site is down again. I can’t even get it to pull up at all or spit out an error message. The URL is http://publishersroundtable.org - do you have any idea of what I should do? I can’t get access to the control panel either.

I did send in the site information to the email that was sent to me if that’s helpful.

    Thanks,
    Heather

    Hi Heather,

It looks like Kevin got you taken care of?

Is there anything else I can assist you with?
