I was curious what sort of e-commerce solutions do add-on sites like ee-garage, pixelandtonic etc use to tie purchased software to members.
They all seem to have a very similar area where you can view licenses that have been purchased by that user.
Is this something native to EE or a common add-on? The license numbers must be generated somehow so I thought it’s a bit beyond simple commerce.
I’m curious as they all use more or less the same format which is not dis-similar to when you view your expressionengine.com account and you can see what you’ve purchased, the date, licence number etc
Can any kind souls shed any light on this? Hopefully I’ve made sense!
