Hey there, is it possible to use the information that is set in a member field to carry over to another application? Basically I want to have something like a “Account Number” and based on the account number, it displays specialized content for that account number, but in another PHP application on the same domain. Are the Member Fields available via sessions or another method & able to pass on to this external application?

Any help or thoughts would be much appreciated! EE looks promising, but this is important.

    Thanks!
    Nate

    Hi Nate,

Thanks for your interest in ExpressionEngine and welcome to the forums!

There may be several ways to share member data out of ExpressionEngine.

Using the Custom Profile Data tag in an EE template, you could send the information over to your app via JSON, for instance.

You could also access the tables directly, if you were savvy with SQL, and pull the information that way.

I hope that gives you a couple of ideas.

If you have any questions, please let me know!

    Cheers,
