This question may be related to a resolved thread.

It appears my update stopped halfway through and then it was trying to rewrite stuff that already existed, so via another thread, i manually was commenting out lines and then finally it started running smooth again, then hung up with this error (see other thread).

Line 83 isn’t something you can comment out ( “);” ) so i’m at a loss on what to do next? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

    Thanks!

ps. i was updating from 2.1 (i think) to current.

    Hi Capital Results,

Indeed, but the error is generated by the code preceding the closing parenthesis.

You have a couple options here. The preferred thing to do, check the database and add the columns to exp_files or make sure they exist as the new name.

Another would be to comment out the lines that make the ALTER statement.

I look forward to your reply!

    Cheers,

    hey dan,

thanks for the suggestions. i went ahead and restored the old database and then proceeded to upgrade again - much easier than me messing it up even more! haha
all is well now, please close this topic!
