Am I able to use the multi site manager on several client websites?

From a licensing perspective All MSM sites need to be owned by the same entity.  So if a client has >1 site then you can use MSM.  You can’t use MSM with your multiple clients (licensing aside, I wouldn’t be comfortable with it - too many eggs in one basket).
