Just came across an issue which I’m sure must have something to do with localization settings, but I don’t know how to fix it.

An entry has a date set: 2012-06-16 04:29 PM

When logged out, and viewing the page on the front end, the date is off. It says Fri, June 15, 2012 - 22:29:59 PM
If I log in, it changes to the correct time. Sat, June 16, 2012 - 16:29:59 PM

The same weirdness happens to all entries.

As far as I know, the only place to change localization settings is in: Admin > Localization Settings.
    Here’s what I’ve got:
Server Time Zone: (UTC -8:00) Pacific Standard Time, Clipperton Island
    Server Offset: Blank
    Default Time Formatting: United States
    Daylight Saving Time: Yes

I did have to change the timezone after EE was installed. I think it was +10:00 by default.

    Thanks

    EDIT:
I just looked at localization settings for individual members. They are all UTC +10:00.
Obviously the default is not what I want. Where/how can I change it?

    Hello Jason,

If you want to, you can change the settings in Member Preferences for:

Allow members to set their own localization preferences?
If set to “no” all dates and times will be localized to the master site default.

And then set the master to the correct time under CP Home—>Localization Settings.

    I hope this helps!

    Cheers,
