    Hi guys and girls,

    I’m just creating an image gallery for a client, I have my templates set up as so:

    Index - main images linking to gallery
    Gallery - shows all photo’s in selected gallery, image link to larger photo’s
    Detail - this show larger version of image clicked in gallery

    All this works perfectly, the client has requested a “return to gallery” on “Detail” and a “back” button on “Gallery”, for some strange reason wether I use a permalink or path these buttons will not go back to the previous page.

    How do I go about making this work?

    what appears to be happening, is any url or variable I place in the href tag gets placed at the end of the URL when clicked:

    example:

    URL of detail page: image-archive/detail/hsbc-the-big-opportunity/161#.T74W9I42Hfe

    URL when link back is clicked: image-archive/detail/hsbc-the-big-opportunity/{title_permalink=image-archive/gallery}

    Any idea’s? This is bugging me.

    Hey Steve,

    Can you tell me a bit more about the setup here? What are you using to implement the gallery?

    I’d love to see the code you are using in the three templates.

    Based on your example, something is preventing the permalink variable from being parsed and we need to what’s up with that!

    Cheers,
