"Edit content" CP default menu displays entries the user doen't have access to

The user has access to a number of channels, but the default “Edit content” menu also shows entries from channels he shouldn’t see. When the user clicks on an entry he doesn’t have access to, EE displays:
“An Error Was Encountered
You are not authorized to access this page”

How come these entries are listed in this user’s CP?

Indeed, the issue you mention has been filed in a recent bug report.

The bug report says v2.5 but it was also in v2.4.
