    Hi,

After running the Link Checker at http://validator.w3.org/checklink

It comes up with a broken link.
It’s strange because it’s a url that does not exist anymore in my CP because I changed the entry title and url_title.

    The broken link
    http://www.coko.nl/werk/logo-en-huisstijl-voor-rijksmonument

    Which is now
    http://www.coko.nl/werk/huisstijl-voor-bb-in-rijksmonument

    EE2.5

Perhaps you site is cached somewhere between you and the validator?

Google Webmasters Tools finds another non existing page, so two non existing pages:

    404 <a href="http://www.coko.nl/werk/combinatie-folder-en-affiche">http://www.coko.nl/werk/combinatie-folder-en-affiche</a>
    404 <a href="http://www.coko.nl/werk/logo-en-huisstijl-voor-rijksmonument">http://www.coko.nl/werk/logo-en-huisstijl-voor-rijksmonument</a>

Maybe this has got someting to do with my database ‘problem’ see thread http://ellislab.com/forums/viewthread/217707/#1005270

    Thanks

    If you’re on EE2.x

Tools > Data > SQL Manager

Then Manage Database Tables and look for: exp_channel_titles

Maybe you have some entries that should be deleted but are not?

Maybe you already mentioned it but what happens you you try to go to those pages?

    Hi ChiefAlchemist,

Looking at the tables both entries are *not* there so your first suggestion: “Perhaps you site is cached somewhere between you and the validator?” must be correct.

    Right?

btw: I see two different IP-adresses in the `exp_channel_titles` is that normal.

    Thanks for your help!

Well, as I understand it, Google Webmaster will “index” your URL from crawl to crawl and will notice if something has gone “missing”. Perhaps that validator does the same?

As for IP address. I’m not sure. That said, it’s certainly possible for your IP address to change from time to time - unless of course you’re paying your access provider for a static domain. EE probably just logs the IP as kinda of a date+time stamp. I don’t think it changing is a concern.

    1) Oops. I meant “static IP” not “static domain”

    2) You’re welcome 😊
