One of my clients, who’s site is based on ExpressionEngine, wants a section built for their site that would allow Chapters to maintain their own content in a simple fashion as these sites I have already looked at kb4girls.com (kiteboarding site) and igda.org/chapters appear to use Joomla. Although I have a fair amount of experience with ExpressionEngine 1.x and 2.x, I have always find it somewhat complicated to create pages that end users can maintain. This includes calendar entries, uploading and managing pictures, HTML etc.

Advice, suggestion etc would be welcome. I would much prefer not to venture into Joomla land, and remain in EE land.

    Thank you.

Not quite sure I understand what you mean by creating pages that users can maintain.  Are you talking about adding content?  If so, that is a pretty easy thing to do with EE, and, since the advent of SafeCracker, it has become even easier.  The main point here is that you can create a simple form that allows anyone with appropriate permissions to update or add content, including images, etc, without having them go to the Control Panel.

There is nothing Joomla can do but EE can’t. And after all they are all about database and presentation. Stick with EE, much nicer.
