    Hi,

We currently have a 1.x EE site on host A.  We are moving to host B because of a number of issues with host A’s configuration.  However, this is causing a number of issues.  Is there a way to install 2.5 on the new host (B), move files from host A and then perform the upgrade on host B’s servers?  We do not have an installable copy of 1.x at this time (cannot locate download anywhere), so we can’t move and then upgrade.

    thanks.

    Hello timharris,

Welcome to the forums! It’s good to have you here!

    You have a few options.

With a jump like this one, depending on what version you have of 1.X, I would install 2.5 on the new server and get it running then import your data.

Another option is to upgrade to 2.5 and then move to the new server. You could do this in a dev environment by downloading your site to a local server and then performing the upgrade.

If you have any more questions, please let me know!

    Cheers,
